Technology is apart of who we are. Our anatomy has evolved
to incorporate the mobile phone. Studies show that this is a problem. We have a
shorter attention span, seek quick gratification, poor communication skills,
and spastic thoughts and behavior. There is even a phantom buzz, where we think
our phone vibrated with a notification and it didn’t! Sad days.
The game is more of a challenge. I am going to leave my
phone in my desk at work and will only check it when I am taking a break, rather
than using it for my breaks. I challenge you to put your phone away – really
away – and see if you notice an increase in productivity and wellbeing. I will
report back on my findings.
